Configuring Windows Mail

Introduction

Windows Mail is a free email software for Windows operating system, introduced as the successor to Outlook Express
You can find it via the following page:




Steps

1. Open your Windows Mail and create a new account.



2. Save the information requested and click "Next"

3. On the next page you must enter the following information:

The mail server for incoming mail server: POP3

Incoming Details: pop3.domain.com or directly to our server ns0.ovh.net
Port : 110

Login: Your email address ( Ex: contact@domaine.com )

Outgoing Details : smtp.domaine.com or directly to our server ns0.ovh.net
Port : 587

Check the box "My outgoing server requires authentication"



4. You can click on "Next" and then done.

Your email account is now configured correctly!



Attention!



It is imperative you use the smtp port 587 and check authentication to connect to the outgoing server.
This is the outgoing port authentication for all ISPs.
